Enterprise Ireland Technology Centres, such as the International Energy Research Centre, the Governance Risk and Compliance Technology Centre, and the Microelectronics Circuit Centre, all based in Cork, as well as Science Foundation Ireland Research Centres, such as the Irish Centre for Fetal and Neonatal Translational Research, the Irish Photonic Integration Centre, the Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland, and the APC Microbiome Institute, also all based in Cork, will be strengthened with the objective of scaling and growing these centres, which will serve as beacons for attracting international research talent and leveraging funding such as European Union research and development funding.
