This is with a view to making information more conveniently accessible, as well as in a bid to reduce our environmental impact.

Useful information following the award of your pension from the Department of Education
Please take note that you may be entitled to a Supplementary Pension * and can access the relevant forms you will need in order to apply for this, readily available in digital format.
You will receive by post to the address provided on your application form, your personal service history and calculations as well as a Rettax 1 Letter. This letter is a summary of the pension contributions deducted from your gratuity. You may need to contact Revenue in relation to these deductions (if any) and the impact of same on your tax liability.

*Occupational Supplementary Pension Information Note
This document should be read in conjunction with your Pension Statement in order for you to determine whether you are entitled to a Supplementary Pension and what actions you may need to take to secure this benefit. Please refer to your Pension Statement- if you have paid Class A PRSI you may have an entitlement to a supplementary pension and you must take further action.
The Occupational Supplementary Pension (OSP) can be paid by the Department of Education by completing application form OSP1.
