Under the Forestry Programme 2023 – 2027 new procedures were developed to protect Hen Harrier outside of designated areas. Applications within the Article 12 Hen Harrier Breeding Distribution layer are assessed for potential impacts on hen harrier. Applications within the Article 12 Hen harrier breeding distribution layer require the submission of a habitat map (mandatory for all applications) and the Hen Harrier Site Inspection Form, which documents the detailed habitat description.
