The Department of Health published a report on the Public Consultation for the draft Design Guide for Long-Term Residential Care Settings for Older People on 14 January 2025.
The public consultation on a draft Design Guide for Long-Term Residential Care Settings for Older People opened on 19 December 2023 and closed on 15 February 2024. A total of 98 submissions were received, including from the families of nursing home residents, healthcare professionals, nursing home providers, nursing home representative bodies, researchers, the local authority sector, and advocacy groups for older people.
A public consultation report has been prepared by the Department of Health to reflect the feedback received.
