The National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) Commission of Investigation was established in June 2017 following consultations with Oireachtas representatives and resolutions made by the Dáil and Seanad.
The timeframe for the Commission to report had been extended until the end of December 2024 but following a further formal request from the Commission under section 6 (6) of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004, the timeframe for the Commission to report has now been extended until 30 April 2025.
The Department of the Taoiseach has published the Commission’s Twentieth Interim Report in which it requested the extension of its timeframe for reporting.
Submission of such an interim report is a requirement under section 33 (3) of the Act when an extension of a timeframe for reporting is requested by a Commission.
