The Applicant submitted that on the [ ] he attended a nightclub with his girlfriend. The Applicant submitted that three men at the bar made a nasty remark to his girlfriend, and he enquired from them what they had said. One of the men then hit the Applicant in the face with a pint glass. The Applicant fell to the ground as a result of the assault and was assaulted again whilst on the ground. One of the assailants pulled a very heavy belt off his trousers and started to beat the Applicant viciously with the belt while he was on the ground. The Applicant’s girlfriend was threatened. The Applicant did not submit any documentation in respect of any loss arising as a result of the incident. The Tribunal wrote to the Applicant on the [ ] and asked the Applicant to furnish any documentation including original receipts and vouching documentation in respect of the application. The Tribunal informed the Applicant that if they did not hear from the Applicant by the [ ] the file would be sent to a member in order to make a decision. In circumstances where the Applicant has failed to submit any evidence of any special damages as a result of the incident the Tribunal makes no award in this instance.
