Privacy Notice
1. The data you are providing is being collected by the International Protection Accommodation Services (IPAS) of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. The data controller’s contact details are:

2. We may use the personal data you provide to the International Protection Accommodation Services for the purpose of assessing suitable accommodation for you and to provide auxiliary services to you as may be required.
3. Our legal basis for collecting and processing this data is as follows:
i. International Protection Act 2015 and Regulations made thereunder
ii. European Union (Dublin System) Regulations 2018
iii. European Communities (Eligibility for Protection) Regulations 2006
iv. European Union (Subsidiary Protection) Regulations 2013 as amended
v. European Union Dublin Regulation
vi. European Union Eurodac Regulation
4. The personal data provided will be stored securely on Department of Justice and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth IT servers.
5. Your data may be shared, where appropriate, with other Government offices/agencies including:
• The Department of Employment and Social Protection
• The Department of Justice
• Tusla – the Child and Family Agency
• The Health Service Executive
• An Garda Síochána
• Peter McVerry Trust
• DePaul
• Jesuit Refugee Centre
• South Dublin County Volunteer Group
• International Organisation for Migration
• Crosscare
6. Information may also be shared with our translation and interpretation service provider(s).
7. The personal data provided may also be shared with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in connection with their mandate to support the international protection process.

9. This data will be stored in accordance with specified Department of Children, Equality, disability, Integration and Youth, International Protection Accommodation Services retention schedule and the requirements of the National Archives Act 1986.
10. You can request a copy of the personal data that we hold. You can do this by completing a Subject Access Request form, available at https://www.gov.ie/en/organisation-information/db300-dcediy-subject-access-request-form/ and forwarding it to sar@equality.gov.ie or by post to The Data Protection Officer at the address below. (You will be required to verify your identity before any data can be forwarded to you).
11. You have the right to rectify any inaccuracies in your data. To do this you should write to the Data Protection Officer of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth at dpocontact@equality.ie or the address provided above documenting the inaccuracies which need to be rectified.
12. You have the right, where appropriate, to obtain erasure of your data and/or a restriction on processing your data as well as the right to object to the processing of your data. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.
