You can check online at checktheregister.ie or at your city, county, or city and county council’s offices.
If not, there is time to apply for inclusion on the Register in order to vote.
Completed applications must be received by the local authority for the area in which you reside by Monday 20 May 2024.
Completed applications to be on the Postal Voters or Special Voters lists must be received by the local authority for the area in which you reside by Saturday 11 May 2024.
To vote, you must be:
Irish Citizens and EU Citizens can vote at the European Parliament and local elections and the Limerick mayoral election.
Non-EU Citizen can vote at the local elections and the Limerick mayoral election.
If your name is not on the Register of Electors, or you need to update your details, you can submit an online application at checktheregister.ie. You can also submit an application form to your local authority. Relevant application forms are available from your city, county, or city and county offices or from checktheregister.ie.
EU citizens other than Irish citizens must in certain cases complete a separate statutory declaration Form EP1 in order to vote at the European Parliament elections. This form is available from your city, county or city and county council offices and online at checktheregister.ie.
