Collective engagement to implement the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF)

Ireland is pleased to join with its international partners in signing up to today’s Joint Statement which commits to commencing Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) exchanges by 2027.
CARF is an international standard for the automatic exchange of crypto information between tax authorities, developed at the OECD. CARF is being delivered within the EU through an amendment to the Directive on Administrative Co-Operation.
Ireland is already a recognised global leader in exchange of information and today marks an important staging post which reinforces Ireland's commitment to best international practice in tax transparency.
