The Minister for Health established the Expert Review Body on Nursing and Midwifery to conduct a significant review of matters relating to the nursing and midwifery professions. This review is an important piece of work, set in the context of both a Labour Court Recommendation of February 2019 and the significant planned reform of our health services.
The Review group is chaired by Dr Moling Ryan and comprises of members representing national and international professional expertise, technology in healthcare, and representatives from staff and employers. The work of the review group has been further informed through submissions and presentations from a wide group of stakeholders.
The Expert Review Body is due to submit its report to the Minister for Health in Q2 2021.
