The Applicant submitted that on the [ ] he was at home when a [ ] forced the door into his premises and became verbally abusive towards him. The Applicant asked [ ] to leave, at which point he picked up a saucepan and hit him in the head with it fracturing his skull.and hit him in the head with it and fracturing his skull. [ ] produced a knife and stabbed the Applicant in the wrist knocking him to the floor where he then kicked him. The Applicant submitted that the following morning [ ] returned and placed a knife across his throat and threatened to kill him and then left. As a result of the incident the Applicant suffered a fractured skull and a slashed arm The Applicant did not submit any evidence of any losses incurred as a result of the incident. By letter dated the [ ] the Tribunal wrote to the Applicant’s solicitors and informed them that the Scheme only covered out of pocket expenses arising as a result of criminally inflicted personal injuries. By letter dated [ ] the Tribunal wrote to the Applicant’s solicitors and requested that any documentation relating to the claim to be submitted. No response was received to the letter. In circumstances where there is no evidence that the Applicant incurred any losses as a result of the incident the Tribunal makes no award.
