The Funds Administration Unit is responsible for:
The Unit ensures that the objectives of funded projects are closely aligned to the applicable policies and strategies developed by the Department’s policies units.
The Unit also liaises with the European Commission and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (who are Ireland’s Managing Authority for the European Social Fund) in relation to Ireland’s roles and responsibilities in administering EU Funds.
Funding applications can only be accepted during Open Calls for Proposals using the official Application Forms submitted to the Funds Administration Unit by the closing date for applications. Applications for funding cannot be accepted at any other times.
Equality (Traveller and Roma Initiatives) funding applications are to be submitted directly to the Equality Policy Unit.
Calls for Proposals under AMIF and ESF PEIL Gender Equality activities are now closed.
The Calls under AMIF are supported by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020. A new AMIF Programme covering the period 2021-2027 is currently being developed.
The Calls under ESF PEIL are part supported by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020. A new ESF+ programme covering the period 2021-2027 is currently being developed.
