The Assistant Secretary for Aviation is responsible for:

delivering on the objective for aviation of promote maximum connectivity by air to support Ireland’s economic and social goals
ensuring that aviation operates in a safe, competitive and sustainable manner
oversight of the relevant State bodies – daa, Shannon Group, the Irish Aviation Authority and the Commission for Aviation Regulation
