Responsibility at Principal Officer level for oversight and policy development of Residential Services for people with a disability (including decongregation, matters arising from the Ombudsman’s report into people with a disability under the age of 65 living in nursing homes, Intensive Support Packages, and the HSE-Tusla Protocol as it concerns residential services) and Respite Services. Lead on HIQA engagement (including engagement on sector compliance issues and reforms) and liaison with the Department of Health on HIQA-related matters. Responsibility for Residential Support Services Maintenance and Accommodation Contributions (RSSMAC) regulation.
