Responsibility at Assistant Secretary level for leading the development and oversight of Government policy in relation to primary care services, with a focus on promoting integrated, team-based, multi-disciplinary care under the Community Healthcare Network Model; policy on provision of general practitioner services; and policy on the reimbursement of drugs as well as the eligibility framework for persons resident in Ireland, to access health services in Ireland, the EU and internationally.
