Responsibility at Assistant Secretary level for the Public Service Workforce Division, which has responsibility for policy to develop HR practices, skills development and knowledge management to meet the future needs of the Public Service.
It is responsible for driving delivery of the actions and targets under the 10 year framework for civil service renewal, CSR 2030 and related public service reform actions to underpin the workforce, workplace and organisation of the future.
The Division has responsibility for managing the annual Budget / Estimates process at management board level in respect of the Expenditure Votes assigned to the Division (D/Justice and D/Defence). It also has responsibility for oversight of the Organisational Capability Review Programme which is key action under CSR 2030.
The Assistant Secretary leads and directs a programme of strategic HR transformation, working collaboratively with public service bodies to develop, promote and implement best practice in HR across the civil and public service.
