Responsibility for the co-ordination and management of the delivery of legal services by a group of lawyers (Advisory Counsel) (i) in response to requests for advice, (ii) in the process of drafting of legislation and (iii) in the context of litigation.
In co-ordinating and managing these services, doing so with a view to value for money, examining and developing means to improve their provision by the Office in a cost effective manner.
In providing these services, the legal areas covered by the Group include Health, Education, Civil Status, Asylum & Immigration matters.
Carrying out management functions as a member of the Office's Management Committee.
Advisory Counsel (at grades equivalent to Assistant Principal and Principal Officer) are assigned to the Group.
