In case of emergency call 112/999 or use VHF Channel 16 and ask for the Coast Guard.
If you see anybody in danger or think they are in danger in the sea, in the water or along the coast - call as soon as you can.
What to do if you are in danger on a boat
If your vessel is equipped with a radio - then use channel 16 and tell the operator your location. If you do not have a radio, use your phone to call 112 or 999 and ask for Coast Guard.
What to do if you are struggling in the water
Remain calm. Float in the water. Don't fight the current as you will waste valuable energy. Learn swimming and lifesaving self-rescue skills.
