The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) provided capital funding to community groups in disadvantaged areas across Ireland.
In 2024 the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) replaced the CEP.
The CEP was first launched in 2018 and, through its iterations, provided capital funding to assist thousands of community groups across the country. Groups supported by the programme include Women’s Sheds, Men’s Sheds, Parish Halls, Community Centres and more.
Funding was also available which assisted groups with their operating costs including utility bills, insurance costs etc.
The CEP was formed from the amalgamation of two previous schemes, RAPID and the Communities Facilities Scheme.
Details of successful projects under all the iterations of the CEP are available here: Community Enhancement Programme - Funding Allocations
