The Marine Survey Office (MSO) is the regulator in relation to the safety of shipping and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment from ship-based sources. The MSO regulates all vessel types in Ireland, whether at sea or on inland lakes and rivers and whether they operate under the Irish flag or not.
It also regulate all Irish flagged ships wherever they are in the world.
To ensure safe travel at sea - the safety of the vessel itself has to be checked and this is known as a Marine Survey Office (MSO) survey.
To apply for a MSO survey, fill out the application form below and sent it to the address listed afterwards (together with the fee, if needed).
