Temporary Reassignment of Primary Teachers

This scheme facilitates two eligible teachers, with the approval of their respective employers, to apply for temporary reassignment to a different school for educational purposes.
The minimum period of temporary reassignment under this scheme is one school year and the maximum is three school years.
For further information, please refer to the Temporary Reassignment Scheme for Primary Teachers contained in Circular 0054/2019 titled ”Leave Schemes for Registered Teachers employed in Recognised Primary and Post Primary Schools”.
A teacher must complete the Application Form on page 123 of the circular below on an annual basis and submit it to his/her employer as early as possible, but not later than 1 February prior to the commencement of the school year in which he/she proposes to commence or (in the case of a teacher wishing to extend an existing arrangement) continue the temporary reassignment.
