Responsibility at Principal level for the development of strategy on EU and international alliances, economic messaging to foreign audiences and all high level visits. Responsibility for use of Ireland’s diplomatic network and for managing the development of Departmental policy advice on issues relating to UK/EU relationship, including management of the Brexit Unit. Responsibility for continuing EU-IMF Post Programme processes and membership of Euro area funding mechanisms and EFSM issues and for Ireland’s engagement in the EU budget process
