Expressions of Interest – Appointment of Consumer Directors to the Board of the Investor Compensation Company DAC (ICCL)
The Minister for Finance Michael McGrath invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for two vacant positions on the Board of the Investor Compensation Company DAC (ICCL). The two vacancies are for Consumer Directors.
The ICCL operates Ireland's statutory compensation fund for eligible clients of investment firms. The principal objectives of the ICCL are to operate a financially sound scheme in order to provide statutory levels of compensation to eligible investors of failed investment firms and to make sure compensation is paid without undue delay.
The selection process will be managed by the Department of Finance. Although the ICCL is not a state board, it voluntarily adopts the Revised Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies 2016 in order to ensure adherence to best practice, including appointments to the board.
Details on the roles in question, the criteria for applicants, and how to apply can be found in the Candidate Information Booklet below.
Expressions of interest and queries may be addressed to iccldirector@finance.gov.ie
The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 27 October 2023.
