Project title: Changing Mind-sets for Best Practice in Case Management in the Civil Service
Organisation: Department of Justice
Sector: Civil Service
Amount awarded: €35,000
The Department of Justice will develop a facilitated business simulation, as a comprehensive training package, supporting the implementation of new innovative case management processes. The training package will also include some simple prototyping tools, to enable Civil Servants to apply the principles of the Theory of Constraints to their specific Case Management needs, in order to generate the learning and expertise to produce system requirements to inform the design of Case Management IT solutions.
Intended outcomes:
1.Develop a bespoke facilitated business simulation-training package for the International Protection Office (IPO) and the Department of Justice.
2. Enable the Department of Justice to explore how to incorporate simple tools for visualisation, prioritisation and goal setting into their future case management systems.
3. Identify the requirements for the development of future Case Management IT Systems.
4. Develop a “template” to be followed by units in the Department of Justice, and potentially by any Civil Service unit looking to develop new Case Management IT Systems in the future.
