Data Sharing Agreement for Animal Welfare Data - BBDAFM 022_230919

Bord Bia have entered into a Data Sharing Agreement under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), for the purpose of allowing DAFM to inform Bord Bia when it has issued a legal notice under Section 42 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 (the “2013 Act”).

The data shared by DAFM is limited to the relevant herd/flock number and the herd/flock owner’s name and address. Receipt of this information by Bord Bia will trigger an audit of the herd/flock owner’s farm(s) to identify potential nonconformance issues against Bord Bia’s Quality Assurance Schemes.
