Data Sharing Agreement for Next of Kin Notification Data for Irish Citizens - AGSDFA 014_220907

The Department of Foreign Affairs, have entered into a Data Sharing Agreement under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 with An Garda Síochána for the purpose of notifying the Next of Kin of an Irish Citizen who is deceased or seriously injured overseas.

This Data Sharing Agreement covers sharing of Personal Data, in limited circumstances, by the Department of Foreign Affairs with An Garda Síochána for this purpose. This data is shared with An Garda Síochána so that it may confirm, and subsequently notify, the Next of Kin of the deceased or seriously injured person as to the particular condition of the individual overseas.
