Investments in the Southern and Eastern region are made by the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Irish Government. The only exception to this is Sustainable Urban Development, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the relevant Local Authority.
To date, more than 700 projects have been approved for European Regional Development Fund co-funding under the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme, which is managed by the Southern Regional Assembly.

Programme Objectives

- 680 new researchers
- 160,000 unserved households provided with high speed broadband access
