This paper examines the labour market impacts, specifically the labour intensity, in Ireland in various areas of public capital investment, with a particular focus on construction.

The paper estimates that an annual average of up to approximately 80,000 direct and indirect construction jobs will be sustained by the investment over the course of the NDP.
