Cad é cuspóir na Suirbhéanna Rialaithe?

Tugann an Roinn Coimirce Sóisialaí faoi Shuirbhéanna Rialaithe chun an leibhéal riosca a bhaineann le scéimeanna áirithe a aithint. Leagann na suirbhéanna béim ar an mbaol a bhaineann le neamhchomhlíonadh rialacha na scéimeanna a bhfuil suirbhé á dhéanamh orthu ag pointe áirithe ama. Ligeann torthaí an tsuirbhé don Roinn díriú ar an scéim, agus ar a réimsí riosca ar leith, le haghaidh bearta rialaithe níos láidre, nuair is gá, chun an leibhéal riosca sa todhchaí a íoslaghdú.


Conas a dhéantar iad a stiúradh?

I ngach suirbhé, roghnaítear sampla randamach de chásanna atá á n-íoc i seachtain ar leith. Scrúdaíonn Aonad Staidrimh na roinne an sampla lena chinntiú go léirítear na héilimh atá á n-íoc ar an scéim ann. Cuirtear na cásanna sin ar aghaidh ansin chuig cigirí leasa shóisialaigh le haghaidh imscrúdú iomlán maidir le cibé an gcomhlíonann na héilitheoirí atá i gceist na coinníollacha cáilitheacha a bhaineann le gach scéim fós. Cuirtear cásanna ar ais ansin chuig oifigigh bhreithiúnachta sa roinn le cinneadh a dhéanamh. Bunaithe ar thorthaí na n-imscrúduithe seo, ríomhtar an glanchaillteanas don Rialtas mar gheall ar chalaois/earráid.

Cad is calaois agus earráid ann?

Tarlaíonn calaois nó calaois amhrasta go príomha nuair a fheictear don oifigeach breithiúnachta gur thug an custaiméir faisnéis bhréagach nó mhíthreorach go feasach nó gur fholaigh sé faisnéis ábhartha d'aon ghnó. Earráid neamhbheartaithe custaiméirí, tríú páirtí nó roinne go príomha is cúis le cásanna earráide.


Conas a chuirtear torthaí na suirbhéanna i láthair?

Cuirtear na torthaí i láthair i dtéarmaí an ghlanráta calaoise agus earráide. Tagraíonn an glanráta don staid tar éis laghduithe sa ráta seachtainiúil, méaduithe ar an ráta seachtainiúil, foirceannadh íocaíochtaí, aistrithe go híocaíochtaí eile agus an staid tar éis achomharc a dhéanamh ar chásanna ar bith a cuireadh isteach orthu a chur san áireamh.

Jobseekers Benefit Control Survey (2022)
This survey was undertaken on the Jobseekers Benefit (JB) scheme. For the survey, 600 randomly selected JB claims in payment during the week of the 14 of February 2022 were reviewed to assess compliance with the rules of the scheme.

Disability Allowance Control Survey (2022)
This survey was undertaken on the Disability Allowance (DA) scheme. For the survey,600 randomly selected DA claims in payment during week commencing 18 April 2022 were identified. 597 cases were reviewed to assess compliance with the rules of the scheme, 3 were excluded from review and judged as vulnerable cases.

Child Benefit Control Survey (2021)
This survey was undertaken on the Child Benefit (CB) scheme. For the survey, 600 randomly sampled CB claims in payment in May 2021 were reviewed to assess compliance with the rules of the scheme.

Jobseeker’s Allowance Control Survey (2020/21)
This survey was undertaken on the Jobseeker’s Allowance (JA) scheme. For the survey, 750 randomly sampled JA claims in payment in 2020 and 2021 were reviewed to assess recipients’ compliance with the rules of the scheme. These reviews took place in three batches: 250 claims were selected in January 2020, another 250 in November 2020 and a further 250 in July 2021.

This survey was undertaken on the Jobseeker's Allowance (JA) scheme. JA is a means-tested payment made to people who are unemployed (see section 3 for more details).

This survey was undertaken on the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance (BTWEA) scheme. The BTWEA scheme encourages people receiving certain social welfare payments to become self-employed.

State Pension (Non Contributory) Control Survey (2017 -2018)
This survey was undertaken on the State Pension (Non-contributory) (SPNC) scheme. SPNC is a means-tested payment for people aged 66 and over, who do not qualify for an insurance-based State Pension (Contributory), or who only qualify for a reduced rate contributory pension based on their social insurance record.
