Environment and Climate Action Section

The objectives of the Environment and Climate Action Section is the:

• development and implementation of the National Mitigation Plan
• development and implementation of the National Adaptation Framework
• ensuring that Ireland progresses towards meeting its EU and international emissions reductions targets
• coordination of the sectoral adaptation planning process across Government
• developing and supporting of an inclusive process of community engagement on climate change through the National Dialogue on Climate Change
