Description:
This foreshore licence application relates to proposed Site Investigations. The proposed project, known as ‘Western Star’, is proposed to consist of a floating offshore wind site with up to 1.35 GW capacity.
Western Star Wind Ltd. currently intends to undertake marine surveys at the proposed development zone and surrounding area to accommodate cable routing analysis for the floating wind project.
The reason for the site investigations is to inform the location and design of the proposed development. In this regard the proposed surveys comprise of geophysical, ecological, geotechnical and metocean surveys.
