RESS-1 Auction Design and Implementation Briefing
A stakeholder briefing on the RESS-1 project was held the 22 November 2019 in the GSI offices, Beggars Bush, Haddington Road, Dublin D04 K7X4.
Project Plan
The RESS Project Board approved the baselining of the project schedule as presented at the industry briefing. Applications for auction qualification will be accepted in March 2020. The auction bidding process will commence in June 2020. The RESS-1 project energisation date is expected to be at or before December 2022.
Terms & Conditions and Detailed Design
It is intended that the RESS-1 Detailed Design will be submitted for government approval by the end of 2019. The RESS-1 Detailed Design will be published on the DCCAE website in early December. An auction timetable will also be published in December, with a subsequent auction process briefing by EirGrid taking place. Details of this briefing will be published in due course on the EirGrid website.
State Aid / Legal update
The legal review of the draft Terms and Conditions has commenced. The required secondary legislation amendments to underpin the RESS are progressing on schedule.
