Brien is a Principal Officer within Ireland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. Ireland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels is overseen by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. A number of DoJ staff are based there, advising on Justice & Home Affairs matters.
