Social Inclusion Supports - Funding Allocations

The Empowering Communities Programme (ECP) specifically targets area-based deprivation, identified by the Pobal HP Deprivation Index, through a community development approach.

The programme aims to empower local communities to craft their own response to area based poverty, social exclusion and the resulting consequences, with the support of the relevant Local Community Development Committee (LCDC).

The Community Development Programme (CDP) commenced in 2021 and aims to trial community led interventions that address poverty, social exclusion and inequality and promote human rights.

• Inner City Organisations Network(ICON)
• Independent Living Movement Ireland (ILM/VOICE)
• Kilkenny Traveller Community Movement (KTCM)

• Amach!LGBTI! Galway
• Limerick Traveller Network

Funding is provided through the Dormant Accounts Fund to address disadvantaged communities’ right across the country, including funding to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Community Organisations.
