Assigned responsibility for the direction and management of a Unit in the Legal Division that:

• Provides legal advice and assistance to a number of Divisions and Units of the Department including in respect of: law of the sea; law of the United Nations; consular matters; international security policy; Ireland/UK matters; diplomatic relations, immunities and privileges; cyber matters.

• Represents Ireland at meetings in the UN, the EU, the International Seabed Authority and other international organisations and legal fora.
