In instances where a parent/guardian has a query regarding a deposit which has been collected by a Partner Service, it is recommended that they reach out to the Service in question in the first instance.
The return of deposits is usually governed by local agreement which occurred between the Partner Service and the service in question. In such scenarios, parent/guardian should discuss this with the service directly through the Partner Services Complaints Policy. In certain cases, this step may allow for the quick resolution of the case between the Partner Service and the individual.
Parents/guardians can also reach out to their local CCCfor support surrounding deposits.
If either party is unsatisfied with the outcome of this engagement between parent/guardian and Partner Service, they can reach out to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) should they wish to do so. The CCPC can inform both parties of their rights and responsibilities regarding deposits for services in specific scenarios.
