18 deaths and 761 cases confirmed:

  • the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed of 18 additional deaths among people with COVID-19 in Ireland. Of the deaths reported today, 11 occurred in March and 7 occurred in February
  • there have been 4,705 deaths of people with COVID-19 in Ireland
  • 761 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed
  • there have now been 236,600 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland
  • as of 8am today (Thursday), 274 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 63 are in ICU. There have been 18 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours
