Determinations for Ireland’s Forest Strategy (2023 – 2030)

The Minister of State for Agriculture with responsibility for land use and biodiversity has prepared a new Forest Strategy for Ireland.

As part of this process, the Forest Strategy has been screened for both:

1. Strategic Environmental Assessment under the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004 (as amended); and

2. Appropriate Assessment under the European Communities (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011 (as amended).

The Screening for Strategic Environmental Assessment Determination and the Screening for Appropriate Assessment Determination are available below:
