Ireland’s Third National Food Systems Dialogue: 4 May 2021 | 14:30 -16:30 (IST)
This Dialogue was chaired by Dr. Paula Barry Walsh MVB MRCVS, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer of Ireland, and opened with a keynote address by Dr Colin Sage, Independent Scholar of Food Systems and Sustainability, followed by two panel discussions:

Panel A: Food Systems Transformation: A Discussion on Future Needs
Young people will have a critical role in shaping sustainable production and consumption, and forging new connections between rural and urban society. The panel discussed the options and opportunities.

Innovation, technology and the bioeconomy present new possibilities for the Irish agri-food sector over the coming decade. The panel discussed how research, entrepreneurship and public-private partnerships can help deliver on these possibilities.
