Targeted Reopening of the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector
A targeted reopening of the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector has been announced to deal only with growers proposing investments in response to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn.
Horticultural growers who already had applications submitted by the 13th of December 2024 deadline can amend their application to re-prioritise investments and to change investment items to assist their business to recover from the impact of the storm.
Growers who did not previously apply under the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector can now submit an application for grant aid to invest in horticultural buildings and equipment to help their business recover from damage caused by the storm.
How to Qualify
The targeted reopening of the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector is only for growers proposing investments in response to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn.
Applications should be made on an official Application Form and submitted with the required documentation.
The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Friday 07 March 2025.
Rate of Grant Aid
Aid will be payable at the maximum rate of 40% (at a maximum rate of 50% in the case of young farmers and licensed organic growers) on the accepted net cost of investments approved and completed to the satisfaction of the Department. The minimum investment which will be considered for grant aid is €7,500 excluding VAT.
Terms and Conditions
Application Form – Existing 2025 Scheme Applicants
This application form is only for growers who applied to the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector before the 13th of December deadline and now, in response to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn, wish to amend investments already sought under the 2025 Scheme.

Horticultural growers who did not apply to the 2025 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector and now, in response to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn, wish to submit an application must complete the application form below.
