What is the Cooley Flood Damage Relief Measure
The Cooley Flood Damage Relief Measure is being implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine in response to the damage caused to agricultural area as a result of flooding the Cooley Peninsula between 29th October and 4th November 2023.
The measure aims to provide financial assistance to farmers in approved cases for the direct costs arising from instances of:
• restoration of agricultural land,
• repair/replacement to damaged fencing/ gateways.
• loss/damage to fodder / fertiliser
where the damage/loss has been caused by the floods during the period 29th October – 4th November 2023.
Who can Apply?
The Scheme is open to landowners who submitted a BISS application in 2023 and whose lands were affected by the flooding in the period 29th October – 4th November 2023.
