House price statistics

This page deals with average house prices in Ireland. It is a simple average based on the mortgages approved in that quarter. It excludes cash transactions. Information is gathered from lending institutions on a quarterly basis until end 2016 which was broken down by:

• Property status – new, second hand
• Property type – house, apartment
• Agency – bank, local authority
