Relevant Body - Regulation of Lobbying Act

The National Housing Strategy for People with a Disability 2011-2016 - Implementation Monitoring Group is a "relevant body" as defined under the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015. It complies with the provisions under the associated Transparency Code and is therefore exempted from the requirement to register and report on lobbying activities.

Terms of Reference

To oversee an implementation and monitoring framework to support the effective implementation of the National Housing Strategy for People with a Disability, 2011 – 2016. This framework will include:

  • The production of an annual implementation progress report which will outline progress made in relation to the achievement of the key priority actions set out in the National Housing Strategy for People with a Disability Implementation Plan
  • Provision of support in the context of the review/update of specific key priorities and actions contained in the Implementation Plan, as appropriate
  • Submission of the annual implementation progress report to the Cabinet Committee on Social Policy in a timely manner

Expected Timeframe for the Group to Conclude its Work

The National Housing Strategy for People with a Disability 2011-2016 has been extended to the end of 2021 and the IMG will continue to report up to this point. A new strategy for people with a disability is currently being worked on, for which public consultation is currently taking place. The strategy is about facilitating the provision of housing options and related services to disabled people to allow individual choice and support independent living.
