Imeacht i bpearsan í Comhdháil an ONSO a úsáidtear le hobair i limistéar na cáilíochta, na sábháilteachta othar agus na héifeachtachta cliniciúla a thaispeáint. Freastalaíonn gairmithe sláinte, rialálaithe, an lucht déanta beartas, oideachasóirí, taighdeoirí, bainisteoirí seirbhíse sláinte agus ionadaithe othar uirthi.
Tá Comhdháil an ONSO ar bun ó 2016, seachas in 2020 agus 2021, mar gheall ar phaindéim COVID-19.
Cuireann Comhdháil an ONSO réimse fairsing cur i láthair, comórtais phóstaer agus ceardlann ar siúl a sholáthraíonn nuashonruithe ar an mbeartas agus an obair oibríochtúil. Úsáidtear seo le cáilíocht agus sábháilteacht othar a chur chun cinn agus a leabú i measc agus laistigh de sheirbhísí cúraim sláinte; a sholáthraíonn eispéiris níos fearr d’othair agus dá dteaghlaigh agus a thacaíonn leis an bhfoireann cúram ardchaighdeáin a sholáthar.
Tionóladh an 3ú Comhdháil Náisiúnta um Shábháilteacht Othar sna Printworks, Caisleán Bhaile Átha Cliath an 17 agus 18 Deireadh Fómhair 2018.
