Aimée is head of the Legal Unit. She has responsibility for the management and coordination of legal services to the Department. She ensures that the Legal Advisors Unit provides independent and objective legal advice on all issues referred. She has responsibility for engaging early with policy issues emerging within the Department with a view to providing early high level strategic advices. Her role also includes the establishment of a network of legal advisers within the Department including in the areas of trade policy, company law and employment law to ensure that there is oversight and consistency in the legal advice provided across the Department.
