Áine is a Deputy Assistant Chief State Solicitor and Head of the CSSO’s Justice and Crime Section. She worked in general private practice prior to joining the CSSO and has since gained over 20 years public sector experience, including senior leadership roles in the State Property, Administrative Law and Justice Divisions.
As Section Head, Áine is currently responsible for Incoming Extradition/European Arrest Warrant cases, Inquests for Deaths in Custody, Transfer of Sentenced Persons and International Mutual Legal Assistance Requests.
Áine holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Hons) degree from UCC, a Law Society Diploma in Property Law, as well as Certificates in Public Law, Leadership, Corporate Governance and Risk Management. Áine is a former Council member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA) and former Chair of the DSBA Probate and Taxation Committee.
