Catherine Bannon has responsibility, at Counsellor level, for the design and delivery of the Passport Service Reform Programme (2022-2025) which aims to build on the reforms delivered to date and continue to modernise, improve and protect both the Irish passport as well as the environment and systems that underpin service delivery for our citizens. This programme encompasses a number of multi-faceted projects, including the replacement of the core technology underpinning passport processing, upgrading and strengthening anti-fraud technology, designing the next generation Irish passport and delivering new systems for passport production and personalisation.
