Fellow of CIPD [FCIPD] for over 30 years and awarded Companionship with effect from 5 September 2021, has also achieved Member Status of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, but has not practiced in a number of years.
Don spent some 39 years in Full Time HR Roles at HGW Paints, Beamish and Crawford and GlaxoSmithKline, also the Chairman of the Board of Pension Trustees.
Since retiring from GSK, was appointed to the Employment Appeals Tribunal and re-appointed on three occasions [over 12 years].
Don supported the HR Function at Whitegate Refinery leading to the sale process and served as Chairman of the Trustee Board of both the Phillips 66 [DB] and Irving Oil [DC] Pension Schemes.
Has been involved in HR Training for many years at MTU and UCC.
