Pauline Mulligan has the assigned responsibility at Assistant Secretary level for policy and operational matters relating to supports for indigenous businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurship policy including a specific focus on regional development. This includes strategic and budgetary oversight of Enterprise Ireland, the Local Enterprise Offices and the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. The Division oversees the development and implementation of the Regional Enterprise Plans as well as funding streams to support their implementation. Separately, the Division leads on implementation of priorities from the SME and Entrepreneurship Taskforce Report. The Division also works with the Retail Sector and other locally traded sectors to support their development including engagement with relevant Government Departments and engages regarding responsible business practices.
