TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:
The Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally
Sunday 14 August 2022
Stage 2 and 5 Bweeng (10.30am to 5.30pm)
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
L-95791-0, Glenaknockane, Co. Cork – (Part Of) – at Glenaknockane from its junction with the R579 to forestry entrance.
L-5341-48, Glandine, Co. Cork – (Part Of) – from Glandine Cross roads to forestry entrance.
Alternative Routes
On the L-95791-11 head to R579. Turn left onto the R579 and head to Crean’s Cross and then turn left onto the R619 and head for Bweeng.
On the L-5341/L-5355 head for Bweeng and turn right onto the R619 to Crean’s Cross onto the R579 and head north.
These alternative routes are also applicable in the reverse.
Stage 1 and 3 Boggeragh Drive (9.45am to 4.30pm)

L-27502 Flagmount, Rylane, Co. Cork.
Alternative Routes
Vehicles traveling to Nadd should take the L-2750 through Rylane village, keep left at Convent Cross and continue on to Jim Twomey’s Cross, at the junction with the R579. There, vehicles should turn left on to the R579 to Nadd.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-118-2022, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 19 July 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
